After a hugely successful first year, the Swansea Triathlon is back! In 2017, more than 1,000 athletes will decend on Swansea to swim in the waters of SA1, compete on closed city roads in front of incredible crowds.
The course will take place in safe, enclosed open water for the 750m swim and on fully closed roads for the 20km bike and 5km run, right in the heart of the city.
What's more, the race will take place from 4pm to maximise local involvement, bringing athletes upfront to the passionate Welsh Crowds also seen at the Long Course Weekend.
The Swansea Triathlon will be a sprint distance race, with elite, age groupers, first timers and multiple waves.
Activity Wales Events who brought Ironman to Wales and are founders of the largest multi-sport event in the country - Long Course Weekend - are looking to deliver a race experience unparalleled in UK racing. From athletes, supporters, general spectators and local businesses, this is going to be one celebration of triathlon!
